Dennis L. Stuebing
Canadian specialist in children's rights, child protection, children affected by armed conflict, human rights and international development.
As a former federal public servant, Mr. Stuebing worked for the Canadian International Development Agency in International Humanitarian Assistance, the China Program, and Human Rights policy. As Senior Development Officer, he managed, designed, monitored and implemented international human rights and humanitarian assistance projects. As a policy analyst he provided guidance on children's rights, child protection and the application of human rights principles in development assistance programming. Mr. Stuebing also worked in other federal agencies, including: the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency; Social Development Canada; Health Canada and Elections Canada.
Presently, Mr. Stuebing is Operations Manager for the Child Soldiers Initiative, a project working to eradicate the use and recruitment of child soldiers by building capacity through training and the development of a field guide, supported by applied research and advocacy.
