Kimberly Inksater
Canadian founder and director of the Just Governance Group, Ms. Inksater is internationally recognized as an expert in human rights, justice, conflict prevention and institutional strengthening in fragile states. She has been working in development for over 25 years, the last 11 years as an international consultant, primarily in the Americas (Bolivia, Colombia, Peru, Guatemala and Nicaragua), Palestine and China.
Past clients include Canadian and European development agencies, such as the Canadian International Development Agency, the Swedish International Development Agency, the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Belgian Technical Cooperation and the International Development Research Centre, as well as non-governmental organizations in Canada and the U.S., such as the Canadian Labour Congress, Inter Pares, Rights & Democracy, and the Global Fairness Initiative.
Ms. Inksater has also worked directly with national organizations such as the Colombian Human Rights Ombudsman and the Community Justice Network of Colombia as advisor on strategic program management related to human rights and community justice. She has worked for multilateral and governmental organizations, including the United Nations Verification Mission to Guatemala, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe in Bosnia-Herzegovina, and the Ontario Human Rights Commission.
