Lisa A. Lachance
Canadian specialist in children's rights, gender equality and international development with superior skills in policy development and strategic planning in the public sector. For over 10 years, Ms. Lachance supported policy development and strategic planning in government departments. She worked for the Canadian International Development Agency for eight years and has also taken on other leadership roles in the federal and Nova Scotia provincial governments. She has a strong ability to analyze situations and trends and recommend creative solutions, and a proven capacity to collaborate with diverse partners.
Lisa's areas of expertise include policy development and implementation; strategic and operational planning and implementation; Results Based Management; risk management; and budget development. At CIDA, Lisa provided policy and program advice on child rights and child participation in the Americas region, managed environmental projects in the Americas region, and provided leadership on strategic policy issues. At the Privy Council Office, she developed policy analysis and recommendations on issues relating to Aboriginal Canadians. Her last position in public administration was as Director, Policy and Planning for the Nova Scotia Department of Finance. Past consulting clients include Canadian non-governmental organizations and the Global Health Office at Dalhousie University.
