The work of the Just Governance Group can be characterised by the following methodological principles:

- A balanced approach combines theoretical and practical knowledge.
- Recommendations are practical, constructive and realistic.
The Just Governance Group functions within three modalities:
The Group offers consulting services to development agencies at key moments in a development project or program cycle.
Secondly, the Group provides consulting and advisory services to partner institutions to support their own institutional development.
The Group also develops and implements its own initiatives, with strategic partners. These initiatives seek to advance theoretical and practical knowledge in the areas of knowledge of the Group.
