Management for Transformation

The Group adopts a transformative approach. Management for Transformation is characterized by the desire to bring about significant change in a particular development context. Planning processes should be guided by the transformation desired in the broader society and in the particular sphere of influence of the institution or project. Operational management must be coherent with the transformative programming.

The approach calls for an integral application and iterative methodology. In other words a transformative strategy is identified in all phases of an institutional or project cycle from strategic planning to activity implementation and performance measurement and evaluation; and in all management processes.

In the cyclical project cycle the project actors engage in a continual learning process that involves reflection and analysis of the progress toward transformation. A transformative approach is consistent with results based management models given their purpose is to measure how project activities have resulted in effective change of the identified scenario.
